Earn up to 13 hours of CFP® CE credits (includes 2 hours of CFP® ETHICS) and 17 hours of insurance CE credits (AL, FL, LA and MS). The forum consists of 8 hours of live continuing education with an additional 5 hours CFP® and 17 hours insurance credits available by participating in the Columbia Management Correspondence Course and sitting for the exam on Thursday afternoon.

Michael Chriszt, Vice President and Public Affairs Officer, Public Affairs, Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta is responsible for the Bank’s communications, which include media relations, publications, websites, conferences, and outreach activities such as speeches, economic education, and corporate citizenship. Chriszt, an economist, also leads the Atlanta Fed’s SouthPoint blog, which provides commentary and observations on regional economic topics.
Glenda R. Snodgrass, Lead Consultant and Project Manager, The Net Effect is engaged in drafting network security protocols and developing employee awareness programs for clients, while also conducting security-related workshops and training sessions. Her extensive hands-on software background gives her unique insight into the user’s perspective and the challenges of securing data while preserving functionality.
Wade D. Pfau, Ph.D., CFA, is a Professor of Retirement Income in the new Ph.D. program on Financial Services and Retirement Planning at the American College. He holds a doctorate in economics from Princeton University, and he has published research on retirement planning in a wide variety of academic and practitioner research journals. He is also an active blogger on retirement research, and he maintains the educational Retirement Researcher website. His research has been discussed in outlets including the print editions of The Economist, Wall Street Journal and Money Magazine.
John C. Portwood, CFA, Senior VP and Chief Investment Strategist, sets and manages investment policy and strategy for Hancock Horizon Investments and manages the Hancock Horizon Quantitative Long/Short Fund. John authors a quarterly newsletter, Highlights, in which he reviews current market and economic events and gives his outlook on economic and market news. He has over 30 years investment experience that include investment management responsibilities at Wachovia Bank where he specialized in endowments, foundations and charitable trusts.
Stephen M. Hammers, CIMA®, Co-Founder, Chief Investment Officer of Compass EMP directs all of the Company’s investment activities, asset allocation and portfolio management. In addition, he oversees all internal strategies and research. He is an active speaker on efficient indexing, alternative asset classes and portfolio allocation and has been quoted in numerous publications including the Wall Street Journal, Smart Money, Barron’s, Investment News and Bloomberg BusinessWeek. He is also a frequent guest contributor on CNBC, Fox Business and Bloomberg TV.
Dan Candura, CFP®, founder Candura, LLC, an education and consulting firm. In that role, Dan provides ethics training across the United States through in-person courses and webinars. He taught financial planning, insurance planning and retirement planning in the Sawyer School of Business at Suffolk University in Boston and is also a FINRA arbitrator. In 2010, CFP Board named him as the CFP® Ambassador for the Boston area. Dan appeared as a featured expert in the PBS documentary Retirement Revolution and has been quoted in USA Today, The New York Times and other publications.
